Battle Report: SSU vs Axis

This is my first attempt at a battle report. I found it annoying and distracting to take notes on the battle while also trying to do my best. That being said I will almost certainly be posting more battle reports in the future. I enjoy reading them when I find them on other blogs and I hope some of you at least enjoy these.

This was a 250 point battle between the SSU and Axis. I played SSU and my opponent, who has requested to be referred to as Doctor X for some reason, played Axis.

Quick, Cheap and Awesome: Painting SSU Infantry

The purpose of these Quick, Cheap and Awesome articles is exactly what it sounds like: explaining how to do things (painting, modeling, terrain, etc.) in the fastest, cheapest way possible while still making them cool to look at. Wargaming is an expensive hobby; even a reasonably priced game like Dust gets pricey once you become completely obsessed like you will inevitably do. So I am here to offer guides to making your army look great (ish) on a budget.

First up is a very popular Soviet unit: the Fakyeli Close Combat Squad.

Dustification: Project Fenris

Welcome to the first article in my Dustification series where I will be taking something that isn’t from the Dust line of products and turning it into something that fits within Paolo Parente’s world of Dust. Most jobs I see are done on historical vehicles like those from Tamiya’s excellent 1/48 scale line of WW2 models. I’m more of an infantry kind of guy so the first few of these articles will feature infantry and heroes.

Today we have an Axis hero I’m currently (for lack of something better) calling Project Fenris.
